The movie is based on the novel of the same name authored by Mohan Kumar. The story revolves around Lakshya (Arjun Rampal), a man with dual personalities - one good, and one bad. The former is honest, sincere and works for society while the latter does not care about anything except what his heart desires. Lakshya's story begins when he meets Sia (Nargis Fakhri) who has undergone immense hardships in life because of her family's money-making business which made them rich but left their hearts cold. They fall in love but can't be together as they are opposites, so Lakshya decides to leave Sia to fight for his own happiness. The movie was inspired by the novel written by Mohan Kumar. It is the first time Pritam will be working with Nargis Fakhri. The filming of the film began in February 2013. The first schedule of the film took place in Mumbai, while some parts were shot at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and some other parts were shot in Malaysia including Genting Highlands, Genting Perak and Kuala Lumpur Tower for a month between 4 March to 22 April 2013. In second schedule, The shooting of this movie was done at different locations in London from 17 July 2013 to 20 July 2013. In third schedule, shooting was held at Tokyo from 18 August 2013 to 1 September 2013. In last schedule, the shooting was done at Delhi and Mumbai from 26 November 2013 till 15 December 2013. A special song was shot at Kullu Manali in Himachal Pradesh in early January 2014. The film is produced by T-Series, Red Chillies Entertainment & Wave Music and is distributed by Eros International. Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty were roped in for a special role which will add humor to the movie. They have been given a gang of henchmen to play with Arjun Rampal for a superb fight scene of about 200 shots of high voltage action with a lot of new technical details added here and there keeping the entertainment quotient alive all over the arena.. The film released on 29 January 2014. It received mixed reviews from critics. Arjun Rampal has been nominated for the Best Actor award in all the leading award ceremonies including the IIFA, Filmfare Awards and Screen awards. Arjun Rampal is also nominated for the Best International actor in BIG Star Entertainment Awards 2014 held in Australia.
